Non Executive Chairman

Appointed as Non-executive/Non-independent Director with effect from 24th February 2026 to Colombo Dockyard PLC Board, nominated by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd and appointed as the Chairman ( Non-executive) of the Company with effect from 7th of April 2026. Capt. Jagmohan (Retd.) serves as Chairman & Managing Director of the Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited w.e.f. 21 April 2025. He is a Naval Architect from Cochin University of Science & Technology. He has also done post-graduation & M. Tech in Naval Construction & Ocean Engineering from IIT Delhi and IIT Kharagpur, respectively. He served for over 25 years in the Indian Navy during which he held several important assignments in the Directorate of Naval Design and at Naval Dockyard, Mumbai.

Thimira S. Godakumbura

Managing Director/CEO

Appointed to the Colombo Dockyard PLC (CDPLC) board on the 19th of April 2023 as the Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer.
Before being appointed as the MD/CEO Mr. Godakumbura was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for one and a half years. He brings more than 22 years of experience in different capacities starting as a trainee engineer in the year 2000. He has served as the Assistant Production Manager (Hull Construction), Special Projects Manager, Assistant General Manager (New Construction, General Manager (Design & New Construction), and General Manager (Production).

BIJU GEORGE

Director (Non-executive / Non-independent)

Appointed as a Non-executive/Non-independent director nominated by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd.to the Colombo Dockyard PLC board on the 24th of February 2026. Mr. Biju George serves as the Director (Shipbuilding) of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) w.e.f. 27.10.2021. Apart from construction of Naval ships, he is also heading Refits of Naval and Coast Guard ships, Export, R&D innovation and AI projects. He is graduated in Engineering from NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad and holds post graduate degree in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
